Jerry Jayne

Jerry Jayne is originally from Massachusetts and received his undergraduate degree in Exercise Physiology at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst. Jerry previously worked at Harvard Medical School prior to relocating to Southern California where he now works for Amgen Inc in the Oncology Supportive Care group.

Jerry was 3rd team All-America cross country runner in high school and ran on scholarship in college before suffering a career ending injury. After focusing on strength-training for a number of years, Jerry got involved with cycling as a form of rehab for an existing leg condition.

In an effort to get more involved in the sport of cycling, Jerry founded Amgen Cycling Club, which is currently one of the largest recreationally based cycling clubs in the United States with over 10 chapters around the globe.

Jerry currently participates on the road in the category 2 and Master’s 35+ fields, as well as off road as a semi-professional mountain bike racer.  Jerry has 2 National and 8 CA State titles to his cycling credit.  Jerry resides in Thousand Oaks with his family.
